Why We Love Redmond Clay

Product Description

There are many bentonite clay uses and we’ve found Redmond Clay to be the highest quality and the best bentonite clay.  You can read about all the benefits of Redmond Clay here (including some good videos) but here are some of the reasons WE love it so much:

  • You can literally feel it pulling toxins, pain, burns, etc. right out of your skin.  Since the clay has a negative charge, it pulls all the toxins from your body because they have a positive charge.
  • Hydrated clay can be applied externally as a poultice on cuts, bruises, insect bites, bee stings, sunburn, boils, rashes, achy joints, acne, and burns.
  • I’m in love with clay baths.  Especially when I feel bad, like if I’m sick, have allergies, aching muscles, etc. I ALWAYS feel A LOT better after I have a clay bath.  I started taking them in an effort to de-tox heavy metals in my body and while I don’t have any “real” proof that it helped, I’m pretty sure it did.
  • You can use it internally for occasional diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, stomachache, acid indigestion, acid reflux, and other digestive problems.  You can mix it in water or now they have it in capsules (hooray!)

The biggest tip we can give you about the clay when used externally is – DON’T let it dry out and put it on really thick (1/4 to 1 inch thick).  Usually it works best to cover it with saran wrap (this is also one of the down-sides of it, but it is totally worth the effort).

Redmond Clay is now available in several different forms:

This stuff sounds great. What size container would you buy to treat athletes foot? I’ve been using a mix I made of doTERRA Oregano, Thyme, Frankincense, and whatever else I felt might help. It was doing great, but once it wasn’t driving me nuts anymore, I started to forget to do it, and now it’s back with a vengeance. This sounds like a good thing to add to the mix. I’ll guessing if need a lot though?

A little goes a long way. They have a tube called First Aid or something and it’s already mixed and the right consistency. That’s my favorite way to use it for Athelete’s foot.

I’ll have to try this clay, I’ve tried bentonite clay in homemade toothpaste. Have you had any experience with bentonite clay for detoxing?

    • rebecca@mynaturalfamily.com

      :

Yes! I take the Redmond Daily Detox pills 3x a day and do clay baths often and LOVE them.

Awesome! Have you tried the clay capsules? Much more convenient.

I enjoy the powdered clay. Add a teaspoon to a pint and a half water, stir and leave it to dissolve. Before drinking, give it another stir, and drink the water, leaving any solid clay at the bottom. I refill the cup with more water, and whenever I need to drink, I give it a stir first. By the third glass of water, the clay is gone and I am well hydrated. The clay is less concentrated this way, hardly noticeable it in the water, and the daily minimum intake of water will be satisfied as well!
