doTERRA Essential Oils to Maintain Clear Skin

You’ve come to the right place if you are wondering what doTERRA essential oils are good for clear skin. Many essential oil guides suggest Lavender oil as a good place to start.  Essential Oils for Eczema - Treatment Ideas - #doterraIt won’t keep everyone’s skin clear but it can help many people.

Here are some other essential oils to try:

  • 2 drops of Helichrysum and Frankincense and 1 drops of Thyme and Geranium mixed with 1 Tablespoon of carrier oil.  (Coconut oil absorbs the fastest so is perfect for daytime use.)  Try something a little heavier, like grapeseed, jojoba, or avocado oil, for nighttime use. After you put the oil on make sure you cover it.  (A pair of gloves is great, but a pair of clean, white socks works just as well.)  Unfortunately there is no 1 combination of oils that works for everyone.
  • The essential oil blend we have found to work the best for maintaining clear skin is doTerra’s ImmortelleImmortelle is an oil blend used to counteract aging issues.  It has a combination of Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Rose, Lavender, and Helichrysum.  It is an amazing oil blend, however it is quite pricey.  (The last 10mL bottle I bought was $75.)  Because it doesn’t go very far we mix it at a 50% ratio with fractionated coconut oil, and use it sparingly on occasional mild skin irritations. It makes a noticeable difference within a few hours, and can be reapplied as often as needed.  It truly is amazing.
  • Zendocrine internally can maintain clear skin, because mild skin issues are usually the result of a need to cleanse.
  • You may also have good luck using doTERRA’s Cleanse and Restore program.

I’m looking for treatment options for my new sister-in-law and her brother and Immortelle was my initial instinct, but it’s a bit out of their price range. Modern Essentials suggests Clear Skin Roll-on (topical blend), but i no longer made. Do you know if HD Clear will work or ever tried the Clear Skin for eczema?

  2. Rachel says

So happy I discovered this sight. Stumbles upon it while googling some remedies. Question: are these oils safe for an eleven month infant?

  3. stacy says

Been looking into oils for eczema a bit over the last week. my daughter has a bad case but I always feel so bad resorting to the steroid cream. taking notes on what you’ve shared.

  4. Myra says

Hi. I developed a severe recurring eczema after I was given steroids and antibiotics for my asthma 7 years ago. My asthma stopped but eczema took over my life. I’m from Southeast Asia and I really want to try the essential oils you recommended. Do you ship in Asia?

And how do you use it? Forgive my ignorance as this is my first time to consider essential oils as treatment for my eczema. Do you put it topically? Or do u mix it with a drink and take it internally? Thanks in advance.

    • Rebecca says

If you sign up for a doTERRA wholesale account then they ship to lots of places. So I would go to here – and click on the link to sign up and put in your country and see if they ship to there and how much the shipping would be. I know they have a whole facility in Taiwan and lots of members in Korea, Japan and some of those other countries so it just depends on what country you are in. It depends on what oils as to how to use them but Immortelle you roll on topically but then it’s also really good to do a cleanse, like GX Assist and PB Assist (there’s a Cleanse & Restore Kit when you sign up so that would be a good choice for you) and that would all be taken internally in capsules. Please let me know if you have other questions!

We have just started diving into the oils. We have found great success with sunburn salves and bug repellant. Is there one oil that would be effective? We are just building up our oils and purchasing the combination of oils you mentioned above might take us a while. Thanks so much for your posts!

  6. Kathleen says

Thanks for the info! I’m getting more into oils myself and am now a Doterra distributor as well!

  7. Sabrina Philpott says

Have you ever tried Goat Milk Lotion? Just curious, my husband and many relative have eczema and the lotion is the only thing they have found for relief. I make it myself but was looking into using essential oils with it. Your posts are a big help, thank you!

  8. Cynthia Hutchinson says

  9. Casey says

My 11 month old has severe eczema. He has been treated by a dermatologist and allergist. He has environmental allergies and he is allergic to eggs, cow’a milk, peanuts, and tree nuts.
I will give the oils a shot!

  10. Hollyw says

Thank you for the info. I am so busy with keeping my kids healthy that I have neglected my hand eczema. I had been using lavender but not seeing great results. Thanks for sharing that it doesn’t help in your house. I will try these other oils.

  11. Lanie McMillan says

I am so glad I stumbled across your site! This is the first page I landed on, but am about to read every page! I’ve had sensitive skin my whole life and with my first pregnancy it turned into an awful eczema that just won’t go away. I’m sick of steroid cream and am very excited to try this remedy! Thanks so much for sharing!

  12. Rachel says

I have been curious about the deep blue for awhile. I have fibromyalgia which was made worse by Lyme disease and hurt so bad that I can no longer work. I am not ready to give up and get disability even though I have doctors telling me I should. I hope I win this so I can see if it will help me. Thank you for the opportunity!

  13. Leah says

I suffer from eczema and have tried EVERYTHING! I am so excited to try some of your suggestions, especially since they are natural solutions! I am also exploring the possibility of food allergies. Thanks so much for this great info!

  14. Mitzi Wright says

    Hi there,

I am 44 years old and have suffered with Eczema my entire life, it is head to toe, all year long. I have done steroid creams, Cyclosporine, Decadron shots, all of it. It is never completely gone, or healed. I have Frankincense and Rose hip seed oil, but I think maybe I put on too much, I used them straight and maybe that was the issue. What do you suggest? Also, in your opinion do hormone fluctuations trigger outbreaks?

  15. Chelsea says

My little three month old has what seems like eczema on her arms and cheeks and sometimes on her legs. I’ve been trying so many different things. I don’t know why I don’t think of essential oils first! Thanks for the info.

  16. Misskaybug says

Thanks for the information! I am just beginning to use essential oils, and I just had no idea of the many uses there are! This is all so exciting for me!!

    • says

I don’t think it’s very possible to make your own because, like most of the doTERRA blends, Immortelle has ingredients that they don’t carry separately.

  17. sara says

I picked up the Immortelle and want to try that this time. Any suggestions on how often to use it? Do you use it as a preventative measure as well? Thanks!!

  18. AromaMind says

IT WAS WRITTEN: try using 10 drops of Helichrysum and Frankincense and 5 drops of Thyme and Geranium mixed with 1 Tablespoon of carrier oil.

As a trained aromatherapist I have to say that this is way too much essential oil for 1 Tb of carrier oil. This would suit more like 100mls!

  19. Angela says

I just happened to search “essential oils for eczema” and came across this article and giveaway, must be fate! 😉

  20. Carol W says

My daughter has eczema on her neck. Thanks for the information. I’ve been researching ways to treat it naturally, since over the counter products aren’t working for us

  21. Diane Cooper says

My 6 year old grandson suffers horribly with eczema. I am a firm believer in using essential oils, but have been hesitant to use on my grandson for fear of making his condition worse. Thank you so much for this wealth of information! He has been to the doctor several times with this and nothing has helped so far. I am going to very slowly start experimenting with essential oils to see what will work best for him.

    • says

I would say that the xeo mega fish oil liquid for kids and finding any food allergies will help him the most so you may want to be thinking in that direction.

  22. says

Yes..I just treaded an awful eczema on my mother in low’s hand which was unresponsive to any medications. Combination of :melaleuca. OnGuard, FRANKINCENSE and Levander- one drop each, two times a day and after day 13 it is 90% gone. This is just amazing.

  23. says

I’m glad you’ve had good luck with your mom and the oils. I’ve had good luck with essential oils when other things wouldn’t work and then it’s not problem for the essential oils.

  24. says

My daughter had eczema that completely went away after treating for environmental and food allergies with NAET – Other things than can cause eczema are not getting enough omega 3 oils and Candida so you may want to look in to those things. doTERRA has IQ Mega fish oil for kids that has wild orange flavoring and my children like it. This is all in addition to all the other stuff mentioned in this article.
