Treat Teething Pain with doTERRA Essential Oils

Have you heard of Clove oil for teething?  You may want to try some doTERRA oils to help with teething.  I didn’t get in to doTERRA until recently so I haven’t had a chance to try any doTERRA oils on my own children but I found some helpful information from others about doTERRA and teething you may like…

Always dilute oils in a carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil or olive oil) before using it on your baby. Apply Lavender on the infant’s feet and then Melaleuca or Lavender on the gum. Other resources suggested applying Melaleuca, White Fir, Myrrh, On Guard &/or Clove (with fractionated coconut oil). If you choose to go with Clove, be careful not to get any on the lips or tongue as it is extremely strong for an infant.

Deep Blue along the jawline of my first-born worked best – he fell asleep right away.”

“Dab a little Clove on your finger and then rub it on the gums where the tooth is coming through and within minutes, the fussing stops.”

Here are some other ideas on how to treat the CAUSE of teething.

I am reading so many conflicting things. I have read that clove is unsafe to use with babies and yet so many articles say to use clove with teethers. . .help :-)

Just signed up as a Wellness consultant last week, and JUST in time, one of my twins (who turned two on Thursday) is getting his two year molars. Both my boys have been great teethers….until now. Rubbed a drop of Deep Blue, lavender and oil ice oil on his jaw lines tonight, he quit crying in 30 seconds, after 30 minutes of fussing and crying.

I’m reading this at the perfect time. My 5 1/2 month old is cutting his first tooth…. Eek! Right now the only thing that’s helped is ice cold teething toys. I need to try some of my oils, but I’ve been afraid of using them on him. I’ll have to give lavender and melaleuca a try when he wakes up.

My youngest is beginning to teeth and I am trying to figure out what will work best. I am a wellness advocate but almost everyone swears by all the different types of oils! I might as well get any of the ones I don’t have and try them. The deep blue makes me nervous, does it really help?? It helps with all other pain I must say!! Have you heard of using Roman Chamomile?

I have had friends use clove mixed with FCO and it was very successful. You can also apply lavender to the jaw line for soothing and comfort. I haven’t heard of using deep blue but I’m sure it would also be helpful on the jaw line ONLY. Deep blue is definitely not safe to use internally.

I am just getting into essential oils. Just bought one and plan on buying three more to try them out. Can’t wait! Really looking forward to trying lavender as we have a teether that needs help as well as a 3 year old that needs help to calm down at bed time.

How do you dilute the lavender for the application on the gum area for a baby? Thanks in advance. I am in dire need.

I just learned of using lavender for a teething baby just last week. I have been rubbing lavender on her cheeks following the gum line. I’ve been amazed how much it has helped. I’ll start putting it on her feet.
