These chocolate peanut butter overnight oats are easy to start the night before and then the next morning just add cocoa powder, peanut butter flour, sweetener and bananas. It’s an easy, rich comforting breakfast that tastes a bit like dessert.
Do you wish you could eat dessert for breakfast? I know I wouldn’t mind it…well lucky for you (and me) I have this recipe to share with all of you, it makes you feel like you are eating dessert for breakfast, except it’s full of heart-healthy grains, healthy fats, protein, and contains no refined sugars or artificial colors and flavors (as so many sweeter breakfast options have).
I really shouldn’t call it a recipe, since it only has eight ingredients total – including the oats. That’s it! It’s simple enough I can easily remember the ingredients and whip it up really quickly in the morning. Does it get any easier (and yummier) for breakfast?
I like to use peanut flour in this recipe, it’s easier to stir in and provides a uniform flavor, but it’s not necessary. If you don’t have any, natural peanut butter works just as well, and you’ll use a little bit more arm muscle when mixing it all together :).
I also like to add banana slices on top, once again, it’s optional…but highly recommended. It not only adds flavor and texture but helps you get more fruit in your diet.

- Yield: 1 1x
- Prepare oats the night before following directions in the recipe of your choice (linked above).
- The next morning add the remaining ingredients, except for the banana.
- Stir until well combined.
- Add the banana slices on top.
