All these Clean Eating chicken recipes either have one pin that has been pinned 10,000 times on a single pin or it has been pinned 50,000 times on the page the recipe is on.
It seems like my family and I live off of chicken. We certainly eat a lot of it and I don’t think we are alone. Chicken is less expensive than red meats and has less fat so it is generally healthy.
I have a pretty good variety of clean eating chicken recipes here but remember that I am always developing new recipes. Whenever I develop new clean eating chicken recipes you can find them here, so don’t forget to keep checking back for more new recipes.
Now for a story that mother tells about when she was growing up. Yes, it’s all true. She grew up on a farm in Idaho. They grew a lot of potatoes and wheat. They also had some dairy cows and off and on they had sheep, goats and pigs. They always had chickens that just ran around the barnyard. They would just eat grains and seeds and bugs that they could find laying around on the ground. Very seldom did they actually give them what is called chicken feed that you could buy at the store.
My mom’s job was to gather the eggs that the chickens would lay in their nests. The chickens would just pick a comfortable place to make a nest and then return to the same nest all the time. Their favorite places were in the barn in the corners of the little animal stalls.
There were almost never animals in there but the bottom was always covered with hay. Maybe Grandpa put it there on purpose for the chickens. They would wiggle around and around until they had a comfortable little nest.
Mom remembers that sometimes the chickens would decide that they wanted to hatch chickens out of those eggs. That meant that the hens would lay several eggs, more than usual and they would sit on them and not get off very often, if ever. It was my mom’s job to try and get the mother hen off of her eggs and take them because they didn’t want the eggs to hatch, they wanted to eggs to eat.
Baby chickens that are hatched “in the wild” like that hardly ever survive. Grandma and Grandpa would always go into town every spring to the store and buy little baby chicks and keep them in the chicken coop until they were big enough to survive on their own in the yard. That was the only time the chicken coop was ever used. It was just a small little building that you couldn’t even stand up in.
The problem was that a lot of the time when a mother hen is brooding, that’s when she is trying to get her eggs to hatch, she will get real mean. She will peck a person on the hands and arms or even face if she gets a chance, to keep you away from her eggs. She is very possessive of her eggs. She does NOT like to share. Getting pecked by a chicken is not a pleasant experience.
My mom was scared to death of those chickens and it really was hard to get even close to the eggs. Grandpa got so he would just tell mom to tell him when a hen wouldn’t get off the nest. Then grandpa would go out and find a way to get the hen off the eggs. Mom thinks that a shovel or pitchfork was probably involved. Just to shew the hen away without getting pecked. No stabbing or shoveling involved. They just have long handles so you didn’t have to get close to the hen.
Next time I’ll tell you about why the saying “running around like a hen with their head chopped off” came from. It really happens.

I came up with a really easy way to make breaded chicken. You could use this method any time you like for any recipe. You don’t have to touch raw chicken either. My method is easy, fast and less messy. You’ll have got to try it out. I think you’ll love it and never bread chicken or meat the conventional way again.

The different kinds of cheese combined together taste like a nice hearty lasagna. The cream sauce and tomato lighten it up nicely. The best part, in my opinion, is the fresh basil.

An easier meal to prepare you’ve never seen. The smell of the onion and fresh garlic will make your kitchen smell so delightful. You will also be delighted that it’s so clean and healthy.

A recipe couldn’t get any easier than this. If you have 20 minutes to make a meal, then you better make this. When a meal is so easy to make it goes without saying that the clean up is going to be easy too. You’ll want to add this to your recipe rotation.
