This post has 9 of the best ever dairy-free cheesecake recipes on the planet. You won’t have to do without cheesecake now if you have to eat dairy-free. Enjoy! Our family has always had a sensitivity to dairy but we didn’t know it until recently. When we found that out, I started looking for dairy-free recipes and I wrote a post titled “9 of the best dairy-free dessert recipes”.
Those recipes have been such a help to our family and I hope to other families also. I decided there are so many good dairy-free dessert recipes that I should make additional posts. One of my pet peeves is when people say this recipe is dairy-free and that recipe is dairy-free and it is a recipe that is naturally dairy-free and would never have any dairy in it anyway.
Another one of my pet peeves is that not everyone that eat dairy-free also eats gluten-free or Paleo. I looked for days and days trying to find good dairy-free cheesecake recipes but the crust isn’t made out of nuts and dates. I’m telling you that nine-tenths of the recipes out there for dairy-free cheesecake, the crust is made with nuts of some kind and dates.
For those of you who don’t need a gluten-free crust, I learned something interesting. Oreos, graham crackers, Biscoff cookies and pretzels and flour are totally dairy-free. So you could use your favorite crust recipe and instead of using butter, you could use vegan butter, margarine, Crisco shortening or coconut oil and it would be dairy-free.
I think it’s a really good idea for you to look at all of these recipes over and mix and match the crust recipe with the filling recipe. By that I mean I’d use the crust recipe from one and the filling recipe from another. I hope this is helpful to you.
Just for the fun of it I’m including links to two blogs I found that list a lot of foods that are dairy-free that you may not realize are. Of course, you should always read the ingredient label before buying because the company may have changed their ingredients since these lists were made. Here they are: 18 Treats You Might Not Know Are Dairy-Free and List Of Dairy Free Products
Because of that I tried to think of the kind of dessert recipes that always call for some kind of dairy and made posts of those kind of recipes. That’s when I came up with this post for dairy-free cheesecake recipes.
I also made a post for dairy-free pudding recipes and dairy-free cookie recipes and dairy-free ice cream recipes. I hope you really enjoy them because I think that you may really miss pudding and ice cream especially. Now you can have pudding, ice cream, cake and cookies without any milk, butter or cream cheese in them. Links for these posts are below.
Let me know which of these recipes you try and which you like the best. I’d love to hear back from you.

I chose this recipe not because of the gorgeous picture, because it isn’t that for sure. I like it because it uses only a few ingredients which makes it easy to make. It has a graham cracker crust which makes it taste like the cheesecake you’re used to. Why don’t people understand that graham crackers are dairy-free and that not everyone that eats dairy-free also wants to eat gluten-free? Yes, eggs are not a dairy food. Just because they are sold in the dairy section of the grocery store doesn’t mean they are dairy. Eggs are from chickens, sorry to break the news, but chickens aren’t cows. (One of my soap boxes) It’s also made with vegan cream cheese, don’t people realize there is such a thing? I don’t know but why are so many dairy-free cheesecake recipes made with cashews and coconut milk? If you know the answer, please tell me.
