A few weeks ago I was researching the GAPS diet and it sounded so great but I’m busy and didn’t have time to read the whole book: GAPS in the Gut and Psychology Syndrome book. I just wanted to get started and not have to research for hours and hours what I should and shouldn’t be eating. So I found this great e-Book that just walked me through step-by-step.
It has GAPS Intro Diet recipes and meal plans for the first month. I haven’t finished it yet but I am LOVING what the diet has done to my inflammation. I’ve been able to get off TONS of supplements and so excited that my inflammation is better than it ever has been. Click here to buy the GAPS Intro Diet E-Book or to learn more about it.
Why did I do the GAPS Intro Diet? Well, I already got rid of my food allergies by doing NAET but food allergies are caused by two things – first off, your gut has holes in it so it doesn’t process food particles and releases them into your bloodstream. Then, #2, your body attacks the food particles and you have an allergic reaction. NAET took care of #2, but I wanted to take care of #1 with GAPS so my food allergies didn’t come back and so I would truly be over the food allergies. GAPS worked great and wasn’t as hard as I thought. The food is delicious and simple.
Meal plans are essential in a real foods kitchen- they make sure the fridge and cupboards are stocked with the ingredients you need to prepare food, they keep the recipes you need on hand for easy access, and they remind you to prepare things ahead of time (like ferments) so you keep the kitchen running smoothly without fuss.
