Biscuits are one of those great comfort foods that I love. Biscuits are one of those foods that usually have gluten in them. If you love biscuits but have to eat gluten-free these days, finding a GOOD gluten-free recipe could be a problem.
That’s why I have tried to make life easier for you by assembling this list for you. I never knew there were so many different kinds of biscuit recipes that are gluten-free in the world. Biscuits are great food and are very versatile.
These gluten-free biscuit recipes are made with many different kinds of flour also. Some are made with almond flour and tapioca flour. Many are made with just plain old gluten-free flour.
You can have biscuits with so many different foods. You can eat biscuits for breakfast, lunch or dinner or anytime in between. Biscuits can be part of a meal or simply a delicious snack.

Our whole loves to go to Red Lobster and we especially enjoy the cheddar biscuits. Well, that was the way it was until we discovered our son is allergic to gluten and can’t eat the biscuits at Red Lobster anymore. Since it isn’t fair and it’s too big of a hassle that our son can’t eat the biscuits there and the girls can, we don’t eat at Red Lobster anymore. I mean I don’t know anyone that can eat there without eating the biscuits. So now we stay home and make our own. This is a substitution friendly recipe. You can use any brand of gluten-free flour, it doesn’t matter what you use for sugar, honey, Stevia, agave, and sugar all work fine. The fat is the same way. You can use butter, coconut oil, olive oil or ghee. Butter is the traditional fat to use and I think it tastes the best. Just use whatever works best for you and yours.

Recently I have been really angry with my gluten rejecting gut. That isn’t a good attitude and I knew it needed to change because it doesn’t do my state of mind any good. These are really good IF you follow the directions carefully and measure the flour correctly. That means you don’t just eyeball it. You fill the cup, give the flour a couple little stirs to make sure there aren’t are air bubbles. Then use the knife to level it off. If you don’t level it off you’ll be using too much flour and that will make them dense. If they are dense they just won’t be as good as they could be.

It isn’t weird at all and is a very common flour for Paleo eaters. Don’t let that scare you. Paleo eaters really aren’t weird as you might think. Almond flour is just almonds ground up really fine. It’s actually quite delicious.

These are little different than other biscuits. That’s why they look so good. Elise includes very specific instructions on how to make these taste really good. She actually uses sour cream and heavy cream instead of buttermilk. She bakes them in a cast iron skillet very close together. She also makes like you would a pie crust with very cold butter and makes sure her hands are cold too. She uses this 9-inch cast iron skillet which you may also like to try using.

Here are some tangy, honey, biscuits made with goat cheese and dill. The goat cheese and dill gives them a nice flavor of spring. They are made quite small so each biscuit is only two bites. They make a great side dish with a salad or a bowl of soup or in place in rolls for dinner.
