These are 9 of the Best Ever gluten-free Valentine desserts. You can have a gluten-free Valentine’s Day party now and not worry about having to avoid gluten. Valentine’s day is coming up pretty soon. I’m not a huge romantic and we don’t celebrate Valentine’s day around our house much, of course except for all those Valentine’s the kids have to buy and take to school. I do love some good valentine treats though. Red is my favorite color and there is just something about a beautiful pink heart-shaped cookie with red decorations that gets me excited.
Since we eat gluten-free around our house I decided to try and find some gluten free valentine treats I could use. I did find quite a few so I am sharing the best ones with you.
I love meringue and on some Valentine’s day’s my neighbor brings me these great pink meringue drops with chocolate I love. I won’t be getting any this year though because she is in Australia with her family. I guess I’ll have to make my own if I want some. Her recipe is very similar to recipe number 5 on this list. The meringue hearts recipe which is number 1 below looks a little easier to make to me. I might try that one, don’t they look good?
I hope these gluten-free valentine treats make you as happy as they make me. :):):)

Gluten-Free Valentine Desserts
1. Meringue Hearts – Noshing with the Nolands
Egg Whites – Cream of Tartar – Fine Sugar – Red Gel Coloring
These meringue hearts are a perfect Valentine treat. They are so light and fluffy, kind of like eating little heart shaped clouds that are totally gluten-free and sweetly delicious. I loved meringue as a child. I used to beg my mother to make them. She didn’t do it very often, but they were a special treat. These are so much cuter than my mother used to make. I’ve got to try making these.
2. Sugar Cookies – Jakes Gluten-Free Market
Almond Flour – Butter – Honey – Vanilla Extract – Almond Extract – Palm Shortening – Arrowroot Powder – Coconut Flour – Coconut Oil
I know a lot of people crave some good old fashioned sugar cookies with pink frosting and sprinkles for Valentine’s day. Man, I am telling you, it’s hard to find a GOOD gluten-free sugar cookie recipe that tastes like the ones you had as a child that weren’t gluten-free. I’m happy to announce that I think I’ve finally found a really good one here with this recipe. All I know is the kids in the preschool class demolished them. They had no idea they were healthy. From my experience kids are the pickiest eaters so I consider that a good endorsement.
3. Red Hot Hearts (Chocolate Covered Almonds) – Sprinkled Side Up
Almonds – Dark Chocolate Chips – Semi-Sweet Chocolate – Cayenne Pepper
Oh, you won’t believe how good the combination of these flavors goes together. They are the perfect blend of bitter, sweet, spicy and sweet. They are also the perfect balance of good for your soul and good for you. I imagine you are wondering why the two kinds of chocolate. Well, it’s simple, you need the chocolate chip to make the point of the heart. It just works better, take my word for it.
4. Healthy Valentine’s Day Candy – The Vegan 8
Dark Chocolate – Strawberries
Pretty simple huh!? These are so fun to make and so easy if you use a decorating pen. They can be made with a hole cut in the corner of a bag but the decorating pen makes it so much easier and more accurate. It still takes a steady hand though. If it doesn’t work to your liking you can always just dip them in the chocolate. But I thought these were so cute. Kind of like making your own little candy hearts with a message but much more healthy and a lot tastier.
5. Cherry Cordial Meringues – Amy in the Kitchen
Caster Sugar – Cherry Jello – Egg Whites – Dark Chocolate Chips – Coconut Oil
Don’t get nervous, it’s a lot easier to make these than it looks. The hardest part is getting the mixture inside the piping bag. I think these are so cute. It’s like a cherry chocolate in a bite. My neighbor used to make these every Valentine’s Day and give them out to the neighbors. She hasn’t made any for a few years and it really makes me sad. I love popping one of those little babies in my mouth and savoring it as long as I can. They just melt in my mouth, literally.
6. White Chocolate and Raspberry Mousse – Fashionable Foods
Egg – Heavy Cream – Sugar – White Chocolate Chips – Mascarpone Cheese – Raspberries – Lemon
You’re going to love the smooth creamy deliciousness of this mousse. There isn’t much if anything better than the taste of white chocolate, cream and raspberries together. A little bit of mascarpone cheese was added to offset the sweetness of the white chocolate. What you end up with is slightly tangy, perfectly sweet mousse that’s perfect to share with whomever you desire.
7. Coconut Macaroon Clouds – Leelalicious
Egg Whites- Honey – Vanilla – Coconut
Oh, these macaroons are perfect for a nice Valentine treat to share or, maybe not. Maybe you’ll decide you don’t want to share them. 🙂 Myself, I love a good coconut cookie but I know some people don’t, like my Dad. He doesn’t like anything coconut. He says he doesn’t like the texture in his mouth. If you want you can put sprinkles on top but if you want a more healthy version you can use crumbled freeze-dried raspberries. That’s what is pictured.
8. Valentine’s Day Chocolate Chip Cookies – Primavera Kitchen
Sunflower Butter – Raw Sugar – Egg – Vanilla – Chocolate Chips – Heart Candy
These look like regular cookies, but they aren’t. There is no flour gluten-free or not in these. You’ll be surprised by how good they are. How could they not be wonderful with the taste of sunflower butter, chocolate chips, and heart candy? The candy tastes even better after it’s been baked. If you don’t believe me, try it out.
9. Rich, Flourless Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake – Gluten Free Daddy
Butter – Dark Chocolate Bar – Water or Coffee – Almond Flour – Eggs – Brown Sugar – Vanilla – Mascarpone or Cream Cheese – BonBons – Strawberries – Nuts
This cake is special and a little more time consuming to make because of the decorations. It’s decorated with homemade bonbons (instructions are included) and strawberries after it’s covered with ganache. It really isn’t that hard, it just takes a little more time to make the decorations. It’s well worth it though. If you don’t want to make it for a special occasion you could definitely forget the bonbons and strawberries. The ganache is like the frosting though makes it wonderful. I wouldn’t want to forget that part.
