I have changed my mind since then and now I realize I was totally wrong. Soup can be a very filling meal but what I like most about soup is that it’s actually really easy and quick to make.
I mean a lot of soups are just dump and pour recipes. Of course, some aren’t but you still put everything in a pot of one kind or another and let it cook while you’re doing other things.
Soups are also very nutritious. It’s a good way to use a lot of vegetables in a meal. It’s easy to hide veggies in soup. They just make the soup taste yummy and people especially children won’t even know they’re there. Now that’s a win-win in my opinion.
Soup is a really good option if you want to take something special to the neighbors and relatives for dinner. They’re great for a large gathering, a family party because you can make it ahead of time and deliver it in one pot. When you make soup you generally have a lot less dirty dishes to wash too.
