These roasted herb & garlic dinner rolls are so good! They are much easier to make than you’d think. You can shape them into these pretty knots or into a regular roll shape. They aren’t that much work but they look so fancy. The knots are actually pretty fun to make.
7. Molded Cranberry Sauce – Floating Kitchen
Fresh Cranberries – Orange Juice – Sugar – Lemon – Real Salt
This is a homemade version of the classic jellied cranberry sauce. It doesn’t have any added pectin or gelatin. The cranberries are cooked until they release their natural pectins. It’s actually pretty easy, just be careful at the end to not overcook the cranberries. It can be made several days before you want to eat it. That makes Christmas Day a little easier, besides it needs to cool in the frig for a few hours before you can eat it.
8. Cranberry Christmas Fluff – Meaningful Eats
Whole Fresh Cranberries – sugar – Crushed Pineapple – CocoWhip – Mini Marshmallows – Pomegranate
This is the best sort of fruit jello-like salad you’ll ever have. It’s made with fresh tart but sweet cranberries, crushed pineapple, CocoWhip, and mini marshmallows. The crunch of the pomegranate seeds is delightful and the marshmallows become like little sponges. If you only eat this once a year for Christmas it will be well worth it.
9. Pecan Pie – The Viet Vegan
Vegan Butter – Vegan shortening – Flour – Sugar – Coconut Oil – Pecans – Ground Cinnamon – Flax Meal – Saltine Crackers – Vanilla
This is a thick and gooey pecan pie with caramelized deliciousness. It doesn’t have any tofu or corn syrup which was the goal. It uses saltine crackers which adds body and acts as a filler while it gives it an undertone of saltiness. I’ve had mock apple pies that were made out of saltine crackers and they are delicious so I think this will be wonderful. You’ll never know they are there.
