Normally I wouldn’t think to put peanut butter in my smoothie, but since my husband loves peanut butter, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised.
The peanut butter that I like to use is from Sprouts Market since I can grind peanuts myself at the market, and there is nothing else added to it, like other peanut butter that is packed with hydrogenated oils.
I have just become aware of a product called PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter. It is a powdered peanut butter, made by squeezing natural oils out of the peanut and then dehydrating what’s left, yielding a powder in which 90% of the fat is removed from the peanut.
I haven’t tried it but if you would like to try it, I think a smoothie would be a great place to start. Let me know what you think about it. If you want to buy some you can find it here.
Most of these recipes only have a tablespoon or two of peanut butter in them so you get a good peanut butter taste, but it is not overpowering or giving you a lot of calories.
I hope that you will enjoy some of these fantastic peanut butter smoothies as much as my husband and I do!
Ever wondered which of all the blenders might be the best one to buy? If you have then your may be interested in one of my other blog posts.
