I want to try and make your life a lot easier. To do that I have made a list of 9 of the best Clean Eating Thanksgiving recipes.
That time of year is close at hand, the time of year when we get to prepare and eat our favorite “I only eat this once a year” food. Well at least for me, there are some foods that I just wouldn’t feel right about eating except for Thanksgiving or maybe Christmas. I guess I’m a little weird but a whole huge turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberries fall into that category.
I have 9 Clean Eating Thanksgiving recipes that would work well for you to prepare for your whole entire dinner. I have recipes for turkey, potatoes (my mom grew up on a potato farm in Idaho, you have to use Idaho potatoes). I also have recipes for cranberries and some great side dishes. But here is the kicker, I have great recipes for rolls, turkey stuffing, and desserts that are, in my opinion, the hardest Clean Eating recipes to find.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the side dishes. I just love vegetables and I especially love sweet potatoes and there are so many different ways to make sweet potatoes. I also love all of the different recipes I have for carrots and squash. Check out all the great roasted vegetables recipes.
Of course, the desserts are the best part in my opinion. While pumpkin pie has never been my favorite, I can really go for other kinds of pie, such as apple and cherry.
I hope that we can all have a great Thanksgiving this year with all of our loved ones around us and with great food. I hope we can all be thankful for all the great food there is in the world for us to eat. Please try to make Thanksgiving this year a fun time and try not to stress out about making dinner.
Whether you make the whole Thanksgiving dinner for 50 people or just a small intimate dinner for two people, I hope these 9 Clean Eating Thanksgiving Recipes help take the stress out of preparing for your Thanksgiving dinner.

If you aren’t sure, like me, to cook a turkey and actually make it taste really really good. You better read this blog. She explains in detail exactly what to do to get that turkey cooked right so it isn’t dry. It’s actually really quite easy. Enter the word tin foil.
2. Clean Eating Stuffing Recipe with Vegetables, Whole Grain Bread & Bacon – My Natural Family
Whole Grain Bread – Bacon – Onion – Apples – Brussel Sprouts – Carrots – Chicken Stock
This stuffing is full of all sorts of healthy ingredients. It seems like most people either love or hate stuffing. This stuffing is a good in-between since it has a wide variety of ingredients.
3. 100% Whole Wheat Rolls – An Oregon Cottage
Whole Wheat Flour – Buttermilk – Eggs – Honey – Butter
This is a basic recipe for whole wheat dinner rolls. They have served my family well for years and they can yours too. The buttermilk or milk whichever you choose really makes these rolls taste good. You have got to try it. You won’t be sorry.
4. Bread Sticks – The Gracious Pantry
Whole Wheat Pastry Flour – Yeast – Olive Oil
Tiffani calls these grissini, I have to admit that I didn’t know what grissini is. I googled it, and all it is is breadsticks for grown-ups. Well if that is the case, I can definitely get my lips around some of these. Since there are so few ingredients in these, they must be really easy to make and I have to admit, they look pretty impressive.
5. Cranberry Sauce – Texan Erin
Orange Juice – Honey – Orange Zest – Fresh Cranberries
I don’t really like cranberry sauce because the only kind I’ve ever had is the jellied kind in the can. Which by the way I haven’t eaten in several years and never will again. This homemade cranberry sauce looks really good to me and it looks really easy to make. I think I’m going to try making it this year for my Mom and see if she like it better than that nasty canned stuff.
6. Lemon Parmesan Garlic Roasted Potatoes – My Natural Family
Red Potatoes – Olive Oil – Parmesan Cheese – Parsley
These roasted potatoes with garlic and parmesan cheese are so yummy and they are extremely easy to make too. They make an excellent side dish to go with practically any meal. I really like this made with red potatoes because they crisp up nicely on the outside but are nice and soft on the inside. They are especially good with pork chops, grilled chicken or steak. They are so easy to make you could make them for guests.
7. Roasted Hasselback Sweet Potatoes – Bijoux and Bits
Butter – Olive Oil – Rosemary – Sweet Potatoes – Shallot
These roasted sweet potatoes look harder to make than they are. All you are the right tools and a lot of things in this world are a lot easier to do. That’s been my Mom’s motto for years. She’s right you know. These potatoes are so easy and oh, so delicious. I find myself thinking about how I bet this recipe would be good with regular potatoes too.
8. Roasted Butternut Squash and Cranberries – My Natural Family
Butternut Squash – Maple Syrup – Coconut Oil – Fresh Cranberries – Goat Cheese – Almonds
This cranberries and roasted butternut squash side dish is the perfect complement to any meal. It would make a wonderful Thanksgiving side dish and maybe even Christmas side dish too. It has a lot of different facets to it. It’s a little tart and a little sweet. It also has a little creaminess to hold it together with a little crunch too.
9. Mashed Sweet Potatoes – My Natural Family
Sweet Potato – Greek Yogurt – Maple Syrup – Cinnamon
These are easy, healthy and rich. I like them way better than regular mashed potatoes. Plus, they are a lot prettier. They are also easy to make ahead of time and reheat right before the big meal.
10. Pumpkin Pie Recipe – My Natural Family
Pumpkin Puree – Almond Butter – Maple Syrup – Almond Milk – Coconut Flour – Pumpkin Pie Spice – Spelt Flour – Oats – Coconut Oil
This pumpkin pie is so good you won’t miss the butter or eggs. After you eat this healthy pumpkin pie you’ll feel good. It has a rich deep flavor because of the maple syrup and the coconut flour makes it nice and thick. There is also a link to a good wholesome pie crust recipe.
11. Apple Pie – Amy’s Healthy Baking
White Whole Wheat Flour – Butter – Milk – Apples – Lemon Juice – Cornstarch – Cinnamon – Nutmeg
This is an apple pie recipe that is made with a white whole wheat flour and maple syrup instead of sugar. If you’ve never used white whole wheat flour , it’s something you should look into. My mom used to use it all the time to make homemade bread. It is natural and Clean like whole wheat but it’s white flour and the texture is much closer to regular all-purpose flour. My mom used to buy the white whole wheat and grind it herself. The apple filling for this pie is made in a crockpot instead of buying it in a can. Give it a try and let me know how much work it is to make it and if it’s worth the bother.
12. Healthy Pecan Pie Recipe – My Natural Family
Whole Wheat Spelt Flour – Oats – Maple Syrup – Coconut Sugar – Egg – Raw Pecans
This pecan is delicious because it’s homemade and full of good healthy ingredients. Although this pie is Clean Eating, it isn’t necessarily conducive to losing weight – or not gaining weight for that matter. Haha! 🙂 But hey, if you love pecan pie and you only eat it once or twice a year, I see nothing wrong with that, so let’s go for it.
