Do you ever wonder, “How can I feel better?” and “Where do I begin with my health?” I dare you to take charge of your health and your health issues! …to quit making excuses for yourself and stop taking excuses from doctors. I firmly believe there is a solution to all health problems out there but you have to want them bad – really bad sometimes. You have to be willing to dig deep and dig through the layers until you get to the real causes of the problem. You need to focus on the cause, not the symptom, and not be afraid of what you find. It’s not your fault that you have health issues. We ALL do. Some have more than others but you can’t be ashamed of it. You just need to fix it. God has placed solutions all around us that we only need to find and figure out – and find what works best for us. The fact that pharmacy companies go around inventing solutions to health problems that could be solved in nature is just a sign of the greed in the world today. The fact that it’s hard to find good, whole REAL food nowadays is what I believe is causing so many of our health problems today. Food is like medicine and when you eat preservatives and junk, you feel like junk. Your body doesn’t know how to process food that’s man made. That’s not how nature intended it. I dare you to make a real difference in your life today and stop taking prescriptions that have horrible side effects and start eating good, healthy REAL food. You know, food that you have to actually make yourself that doesn’t come in a box or can or from a fast food restaurant. When you do this, you will notice a HUGE change in how you feel, act and look. You will be in charge of your health instead of your body breaking down all the time. How do I know all this and how can I say all this? Here’s my story- the story of my family and the story of this blog…
All growing up I was pretty much healthy. About the only health problem I had was irregular menstrual cycles. I would sometimes go several months without having a cycle but didn’t worry about it too much until I got married. When we first got married we waited two months then started trying to have children. I dutifully waited out the year you are supposed to before finally going to the doctor even though my cycles were still very irregular. I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on Clomid. Well, you are not supposed to have Clomid for more than a few months but I lived in a small town and the doctor obviously didn’t know what he was doing. I ended up being on it for about 2-3 years then moved to a bigger city and started with an infertility specialist and put on it again even though I told them how it didn’t work and how I had horrible side effects. That last few months on it seemed to trigger something. I had super bad PMS and I got sick and couldn’t get better for months. I couldn’t get rid of the cough so I went to an M.D. and he gave me four rounds of antibiotics, one right after the other with increasing strength. I finally just said: forget it! But after that I started having a long list of health problems. I gained 30 pounds within 2 months or so, even though I didn’t change anything else and then a little slower gained 20 more pounds. It was a huge struggle just to keep from gaining weight. It’s like my body was fighting against me. After a while I ended up with severe back and joint problems. I was constantly in major pain. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
They sure have a long way to go in the medical community with RA. I received a cortizone shot and felt great for a day. It was supposed to last a lot longer than that. So they put me on some radiation drug that I had to give myself a shot in the leg once a week. Not fun and it didn’t work. I got to the point where the doctor couldn’t help me anymore and I didn’t feel any better. Then what are you supposed to do? I had already had the infertility specialists tell me there was nothing more they could do except do IVF. So I went on “the pill” so at least I wouldn’t have awful PMS since I wasn’t getting pregnant anyway. This all led us to start the long process of trying to adopt. We adopted our first child (a girl) after about 8 1/2 years of marriage and then adopted our son 7 1/2 months later. I was getting tired of doctors telling me there was nothing they could do. You can read more about my early health struggles here.
I started researching natural alternatives, trying to dig deeper and find the real cause of my RA and other health problems. One of the first things I found was that food allergies can cause RA. So I started the process of finding out what I was allergic to and let me tell ya, it was A LOT. I found I was allergic to almost every grain and almost every dairy plus every food additive. Shortly after discovering the food allergies and fixing several other health problems, I was finally able to lose 50 pounds. Shortly after that, I got pregnant with my first biological child after being married for 11 1/2 years. At the worst of my allergies during the last few months of my pregnancy of my first biological child, I was even allergic to a bunch of vegetables and chicken. I pretty much survived on grass fed hamburger patties and a few vegetables. So not fun – but I did it! I survived it. After a while I started digging deeper to find out what was causing the food allergies. I discovered that I had a whole body Candida infection that had spread to my whole body. This is likely what caused all the weight gain I experienced. It also made me feel so yucky all the time – just plain tired and worn out and I didn’t want to do anything ever. I’ve since dug deeper and discovered that a heavy metal toxicity in my body was feeding the candida and making it almost impossible to get rid of.
At the beginning of 2013 I discovered NAET. It is a life changing allergy elimination technique. It has eliminated my food allergies and helped every health problem I have. Why do I like it so much? It permanently cures your long-term health problems by addressing the CAUSE of your SYMPTOMS.
Don’t Give Up
I’m still on my journey. Over the years I’ve dramatically improved my health and feel so much better than I did during those darker, harder times but that doesn’t mean I’m in perfect health now. But guess what? I’m not EVER going to give up on my health. I’m going to keep searching and experimenting until I have no health problems anymore. Your health is so precious and so important in your daily life. I know that having good health can be expensive, but to me, it’s been worth every sacrifice and every penny spent to be able to feel well enough to be a mom and wife and to feel joy in my daily life. So I dare you to do the same. Don’t give up searching for the root cause of your symptoms. Don’t let the doctors tell you there is nothing you can do, because there is something you can do. I sincerely believe there is a cure to every health problem out there put on this earth by God. We just have to be open and prayerful and dig deep and not be afraid to try new things and not be afraid to feel better. You really can feel better.
Why Did I Start This Blog?
This is not regular blog. I’m not afraid to push you to explore and think of things in a different way. I started this blog because I found the answers to so many of my health problems after spending long nights searching on the internet. I want to help those with health problems so they don’t have to go through what I’ve gone through to come out on top. I originally started this myself just to get some of my thoughts out there but I now feel so passionate about it and had such a favorable response that I wanted to add to the blog so I’ve added some authors (see their bios at the top on the right sidebar). I want this blog to be a community where we can openly and honestly discuss health problems and help each other and get many points of view. There are three categories of things that have helped everyone in my family’s health the most and that’s what this blog’s focus is on – Standard Process nutritional supplements, NAET and doTERRA Essential Oils. You really should carefully consider each of these solutions and consider trying them. Some blog images from: Pixabay.com, Flickr.com & Stockmedia.cc
