I have a whole bunch of Whole30 dinner recipes with a big variety of different kinds of meals. Some are made with chicken, beef, pork or fish. That’s the beauty of it all, you can choose which ones look good to you.
What is Whole30 anyway? Basically, it’s a Paleo diet without the sugar. For those of you who don’t know what Paleo is. In a small nutshell, it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, real food or clean eating which are the same thing. The difference is that with a Paleo diet you can’t eat sugar but you can eat maple syrup, molasses, honey and coconut palm sugar.
With a Whole30 diet, you can’t eat any kind of sugar at all including those I just mentioned that you can eat on a Paleo diet. Even fruit juice and dried fruit are discouraged because the sugar content is way higher in fruit juice and dried fruit such as raisins, prunes, and craisins than in the fruit itself.
I pretty much eat a Whole30 diet because I’m forced to and at first I didn’t even realize I was. My husband has diabetes and I have hypoglycemia so we had to just stop eating sugar to feel like human beings. I was also forced to stop eating gluten and dairy because I’m allergic to them.
The point of all this is that I’m saying a Whole30 diet is totally do-able and you can lead a totally normal life doing so. The only time I have problems is when I have to eat out and I don’t get to choose the restaurant. Another time when it is hard is when I have to go to a party.
You know how parties are. At least all the parties I’m invited to the food is mostly carbs and sugar. If I’m lucky there will be a little fruit and vegetables. I’ve gotten used to that and that’s okay. At least when we have a family party I’ve trained them to try and have one thing I can eat. They’re pretty good about that.
Enough of my life. I think you’ll enjoy all of these Whole30 dinner recipes. I know I do. I use them all the time. Enjoy!
