9 of the Best Ever Paleo Chicken Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes
1. Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala – My Natural Family
This slow cooker chicken tikka masala is from traditional Indian cuisine but this is a simplified version. It’s not exactly like you would find in India or a authentic Indian restaurant. It is easy, simple and healthy. I use coconut milk as one of the main ingredients. I brown the chicken with the spices and onion first so it develops a nice rich flavor for the sauce. You can buy Garam Masala in a typical Indian grocery store. I’ve also seen it in some regular grocery stores. So I think it’s becoming more popular and people are loving it more.
2. Nourishing Crock Pot Chicken Soup – My Natural Family
Chicken Thighs – Carrots – Onion – Kale – Chicken Broth
I call this chicken soup “nourishing” because it not only has fresh hearty vegetables and juicy tender chicken. You create your own chicken broth by using bone-in chicken thighs. You could make it more nourishing by adding some additional chicken bones so you can get even more bone broth flavor if you want to. You could add cooked noodles later after you’ve served portions for the Paleo eaters, if you have some people in your home that don’t eat Paleo.
3. Crock Pot Garlic Honey Chicken – My Natural Family
Chicken Thighs – Onion – Zucchini – Arrowroot Powder
I like this because it has the veggies, meat and sauce all in one pot. It is so easy to make and ends up having a tangy and sweet flavor. It has good wholesome ingredients. I like to change it up sometimes and add different vegetables. Almost any veggie will work but my favorites are green beans, snap peas, sweet potatoes and butternut squash.
4. Basil Coconut Curry Chicken – My Natural Family
I absolutely crave this chicken curry a lot. It is so flavorful and the chicken is very tender when it is cooked in the crock pot. I chose chicken curry to be one of the recipes that I like to simplify and make it more Americanized. This is a traditional Thai dish but I changed it to cook it in the crock pot and I think it’s truly awesome. We eat it a lot at out house.
5. Slow Cooker Butter Chicken – Becoming Ness
I used to buy a lot of butter chicken at an Indian restaurant or at least get take out. Since I discovered crock pot cooking I don’t hardly ever go out to eat. Going out was easier than cooking but using a crock pot is so easy, with a little planning ahead, that I don’t need to go out for an easy quick meal any more. My ingredients are more fresh and clean eating so my meals taste better besides.
6. Slow Cooker Chicken Chile Verde – The Real Food Dieticians
This chile chicken verde only has five ingredients so it can’t much easier to make dinner than this. When you go shopping look for a jar of salsa verde that doesn’t have any added sugar or any preservatives. I like the salsa verde at Trader Joe’s. It’s so easy to make so when it’s all cooked up serve it over some cauliflower rice or in a lettuce wrap.
7. Slow Cooker Honey Chicken – Becoming Ness
Ness took one of her favorite recipes and altered it to make it Paleo and to cook it in the slow cooker. It is very easy to make and tastes wonderful because the chicken is so nice and tender and juicy. I have got to try it.
8. Slow Cooker Chicken Pho with Noodles – Wicked Spatula
This is so delicious when it’s made in the slow cooker. It makes it so easy to make then in a few hours you’ll have a nice not bowl of Pho ready to eat for dinner. When it is cooked you can choose your favorites to top it with. Some suggestions are cilantro, bean sprouts, lime wedges, mint, jalapeno, basil, siracha or chili oil. Get creative!
9. Chili Cilantro Lime Crock Pot Chicken – Paleo Pot
Whole Chicken – Dry Rub – Limes – Fresh Cilantro – Garlic – Olive Oil
This chicken is absolutely delicious but you to do an extra step and make a marinade in the blender. If you’re willing to do that, I assure you that it will be worth it and you won’t be sorry you did. The chicken literally falls off the bones when it’s cooked and the flavors and the smell of this cooking are wonderful.
