The weather is finally cooling off in this part of the world and it is starting to feel more like fall every day. Which, to me, means that it is almost time to start making soup often.
There are also a ton of different kinds of soup, so there is no need to eat the same soup every time. It is also a great way to get a lot of good clean healthy vegetables in me or inside kids belly’s if that is a problem.
I came up with this list of Clean Eating soup recipes to share some of my favorite soup recipes. Since all of these recipes are clean that means the ingredients are in their natural state, full of vitamins and flavor.
There are so many different kinds of soup and they are definitely all healthy for you. There are many reasons why soup is so great. For one, soup is so versatile and can be easily adapted to different lifestyles. Soup is also usually easy to prepare and can be made ahead of time (definitely a plus in my book).
The flavors in soup meld nicely together and is a great way to eat a lot of vegetables. Another plus is that you can keep soup warm on the stove for long periods of time without the taste being compromised. It’s also easy to serve to a large group of people because your whole meal is in one bowl, except for maybe some toppings.
It is very important to know that not all cans or boxes or cubes of any kind of broth or bullion or stock are Clean Eating. Some brands might be, but a lot are not. Italian Sausage – Bacon – Onion – Garlic – Chicken Broth – Russet Potatoes – Kale – Heavy Whipping Cream – Parmesan Cheese
This recipe is a copycat of the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana Soup they serve. This one-pot version is so much easier than other versions. You can cook the bacon and sausage in the same pot the soup is made in. The drippings from the bacon and sausage add a lot of flavors I made mine in my dutch oven.
