I have the best recipes in my Paleo Grill Recipes Index. Yes, it’s time to get that grill heated up! You’re going to have the best BBQ ever. All of the recipes on this post are just what the title says, Paleo recipes that are grilled on the barbecue grill.
I’ve done all of the hunting and gathering for you. Of course, they all have to be made from scratch, no can dumping for us people on Paleo diets.
A lot of the reason I wanted to make this post is that quite often a BBQ means a party and that can mean that you’re eating with people that may not understand the Paleo diet.
I have this problem when I eat at family gatherings. My dad totally does not understand why I eat Paleo and won’t eat anything that he thinks is Paleo at all. Well, the joke’s on him. He’s eaten plenty of Paleo food without realizing it. You can look through this list of recipes and find ones that can complement the other foods you are eating.
You should find all of these recipes interesting and you should be able to find more than one that will become your very favorite. Have fun trying out all of these Paleo Recipes on your BBQ grill this summer or any other time. Enjoy!

9 Paleo Summer Desserts
I have 9 of the best ever Paleo Summer Dessert Recipes. Now you can have a great outdoor party and have the best desserts ever. I love spring and summer and I love a good outdoor BBQ. I love the hamburgers and the BBQ ribs and steak and the salads but I also love all of the good desserts. These Paleo Summer Desserts are good because they are actually healthy.
When I think about Paleo Summer Desserts I think about desserts that are easy to make. That don’t necessarily need to be made in the oven because the oven heats up the house. I also think of desserts that are light and made with ingredients that are in season and fresh. Fruit is a great ingredient for a light fresh in-season dessert.
I have a lot of parties with my parents and brothers and sisters and their children. We love to have a good BBQ in the backyard and play games or go to the park after we eat. Even though my family doesn’t eat Paleo like I do they do try to eat healthily. We always have a lot of fruits and vegetables including all kinds of salads. One thing our family loves (that is except my Dad) is watermelon. We can devour a big watermelon in minutes. I just have to try some of these recipes out on my family. I’m gonna fool them, they’ll be eating Paleo and won’t even know it. 🙂
These Summer Desserts would be good for an outdoor BBQ or not. It doesn’t matter you could make these anytime you want to.
Paleo Summer Desserts
1. Paleo Lemon Bars – My Natural Family
Almond Flour – Tapioca Flour – Eggs – Coconut Milk – Honey – Butter – Lemon Juice
I spent a lot of time developing these lemon bars. I wanted them to have a thick lemon filling without absorbing into the crust. I also wanted a crust that won’t crumble and will actually hold together. Another thing I wanted was for them to not have any added sugar. What I ended up with is a shortbread-like crust with a nutty flavor that doesn’t crumble. The topping is a super tangy lemon curd that is creamy with a little bit of coconut milk to add some extra lusciousness. I think they turned out quite nicely.
2. Watermelon Cake with Whipped Coconut Cream – That Clean Life
Watermelon – Coconut Milk – Strawberries – Almonds
Yes, that’s right. The inside or cake part of this cake is a whole watermelon. It’s so easy to make. Just cut the rind off the watermelon and shape it, frost it with coconut milk whipped cream. You can decorate it any way you want. Isn’t that the healthiest cake you’ve ever eaten? I’ve actually made one of these for an extended family birthday party. It was so much fun to see the faces on everyone when I cut into it. They loved it since it was a really hot afternoon.
3. Chocolate-Covered Toasted Coconut Pops – An Edible Mosaic
Desiccated Coconut – Coconut Milk – Maple Syrup – Vanilla Extract – Coconut Extract – Dark Chocolate – Coconut Oil
These are so simple to make. There are few secrets to making this pops taste awesome. The first one is to toast the coconut like the recipe states. Don’t skip that step, it really makes them taste a whole lot better. The last is if you want a nice thick chocolate coating, you have to dip them in the chocolate more than once. After the last dip, you could dip them in anything you like such as nuts.
4. Strawberry Shortcake – Fit Mitten Kitchen
Coconut Flour – Eggs – Coconut Oil – Vanilla Extract – Maple Syrup – Almond Milk – Coconut Cream – Strawberries – Coconut Sugar
Some people are afraid of baking with coconut flour. My advice is to measure it precisely. It soaks up a lot of liquid, if you use too much, even a tablespoon too much it will change the texture of the whole cake. That’s why you use maple syrup in the cake instead of a dry sweetener. When coconut flour is involved, follow the recipe always, don’t try to sub ingredients. This will turn out wonderful as long as you follow the recipe and read the instructions carefully.
5. Mixed Berry & Whipped Coconut Cream Pie – A Saucy Kitchen
Walnuts – Dates – Coconut Milk – Strawberries – Blueberries – Raspberries
This is a super easy no-bake dessert that is naturally sweetened. It only has 3 ingredients plus the fruit you choose. It takes 20 minutes to prepare and that’s it. No baking so your house will stay cool. If you like things sweet you can add maple syrup or honey but personally, I don’t think it’s necessary.
6. Watermelon Fruit Pizza with Coconut Yogurt – Paleo Hacks
Coconut Yogurt – Watermelon – Blueberries – Raspberries – Blackberries – Cherries – Chia Seeds – Honey
This is about as easy as you can get. Slice up a watermelon, spread some coconut yogurt over it like sauce. Then place fruits of your choice on top. They used blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. It makes for a nice dazzling, healthy, cool dessert.
7. Summer Berry Trifle with Coconut Flour French Pound Cake – The Urban Poser
Coconut Flour – Eggs – Coconut Oil – Honey – Lemon Juice – Strawberries – Blueberries – Raspberries – Coconut Milk
I always thought trifle was hard to make. I was wrong again! It’s just a moist sweet cake with rich whipped cream and seasonal berries. This coconut flour cake is perfect for the trifle. It’s a bit like a French pound cake. It’s a perfect match for creamy coconut cream and tart fresh berries. I think that the best flavors come together with simple ingredients.
8. Coconut Lime Paleo Strawberry Shortcake – My Natural Family
Chia Seeds – Eggs – Coconut Oil – Maple Syrup – Almond Milk – Vanilla – Strawberries – Honey – Lime – Coconut Cream
I think you’ll be glad you found this Paleo strawberry shortcake recipe. It is made with a Paleo version of golden shortcake that is covered with luscious strawberries. Then it’s topped with mounds of fluffy whipped cream. I think you’ll be amazed that it’s Paleo. I give several explanations and tips about how and why I make it that way I do. For example, I replace some of the eggs with chia seeds, I use my own homemade baking powder recipe because baking powder you buy in the store isn’t Paleo. I also explain how to make the coconut cream really good and how to customize it to your taste.
9. Watermelon Mint Slushies – The Natural Nurturer
Watermelon – Coconut Water – Mint Leaves – Strawberries
Well, it looks like watermelon is the official fruit of the summer. At least for these recipes. I think there is a reason people naturally love watermelon so much. It’s because when it gets hot outside it’s just natural to want to eat something that hydrates you. Did you know that watermelon is 92% water? That’s true, google it. That’s why this watermelon slushy is perfect for a hot day.
